Conversations I have a marketing problem. My venture HOSPO empowers users by giving them upfront discounted cash pricing for surgeries, which otherwise cost a bomb. We have started with "Eye-Care" vertical. My problem is to find quickest way to find "Cataract" patients so that we can ask them/their family to use our portal and avail discounted prices and quality care not available currently. TIA
First of all congratulations for the venture. My father just got Cataract surgery and yes this would have been useful if I knew about it. From my experience I shall say, that yes there is no data about my fathers problem on internet and so tough to find such patients :D ....
I can think of two ways
1. Newspaper article : PR campaign or press conf
(more then 60% of this category , read newspapers more then facebook) :P
2. Social media to bring the awareness so you get references.
These are just my ideas and I am not marketing professional, infact I am also struggling marketing my products and solutions :D
@kavitajhala We have already tied-up with eye care hospitals, but we cannot eat their walk-in patients. We have to create a flow of HOSPO patients who avail a surgery at discounted prices. Walk-Ins wouldn't get that discount. Thanks for your comments.

I think you can check some TV shows in TV like
DD have "Hello Doctor" Program where people will try to interact with you. those will be most effective place to share your thought and scheme to most peoples.
Similar to that other Local TV channels will help you to get into this.
else you can tie up with blood bank or some NGO who will organize their events of blood donation , health checkup at various places, you can sponsor them and share your banner and scheme details.

Congratulations for your venture.
Keeping in mind the target audience, which would be mainly aged persons or in their late 40's.
How about getting posters and maybe a street play at public places where you find such people in abundance. For e.g public parks in the early mornings.
Moreover, this public parks usually have huge gatherings of aged people who come to spend good time in the evenings. Go and sit with them listen to what they have to say and tell them about your product and ideas.
Targetting through their children whose average is 30-40. Get to them through Facebook promotions a perfect targeted ad that will reach out to them.
One of the way what i think is you can tie up with the Chemists who are near by Ophthalmologists. Because after the first visit Patient normally walks in to near by chemists to buy a drop as initial therapy so may be you can tie up wit Chemists and offer them some incentives to put up your standee or at least a poster. Because Cataract is something which can not be decided in the first visit to Dr. I am not sure but worth exploring on that front.
