More about Nikki Thakrar

My journey as an innovator started in 2019 when I started developing a patent-pending endoscopic suturing device. This device aims to revolutionize non-critical GI track surgeries, reducing hospitalization from multiple days to a day-care procedure. Additionally, I have developed three successful models of automatic patient lifts for physiotherapy centers.

There's more - In 2021, I revived one of my college projects to transform it into a full-fledged venture. By returning to the drawing board to address the challenge of moving heavy and bulky goods up stairs, we created patent pending stair mobility solution. With 50+ design iterations, 5 full scale prototypes and close to 1000 hours of testing by late 2022, I officially registered my company, Heavity Automation Pvt. Ltd. (www.heavityautomation.com).

However, this vision has historically just been a blazing passion for automation that manifested itself ever since I was still too young to spell "patent"! I take pride in creating some mini-inventions during my school days. And now, upon seeing my initial projects reaching their fruition, I could not be more excited to be a pioneer in the field of automation and create products that integrate so well into people's lives.

Currently, I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals in the fields of electronics, automation, product design, and more. I aspire to be part of the hustle, taking the automation solutions we have already built to the masses, while also developing new automatic products and shaping the consumer experience surrounding the adoption of automation in their daily lives. If it involves automation, I am genuinely interested. I would be delighted to connect with individuals who share similar passions over a virtual or in-person cup of coffee.
