In today’s era “StartUp ” has become the buzz word the cool factor.

It is perceived to be the hottest thing to do after you graduate from your college or if you are bored of doing your current job and wanting to add some excitement in your life.”Entrepreneurship” is the IT word for generation next.

How is the start up the scenario in India and how the government is providing the breeding environment?

To give a brief, the newly elected government with an overwhelming majority is sparing no effort to promote a conducive environment for breeding start-ups in India.

The Modi government has introduced a slew of measures such as Rs 10,000 corpus for innovation-driven enterprises,Rs 500 crores per year credit guarantee mechanism, capital gains tax exemptions and most important of all “a three-year tax exemption of tax on the profits earned”.

The future of Digital Marketing in this “Startup” environment?

It would be an understatement if I say that we are not living in a “Digital era”.And hence, start-ups should have a formidable in the Digital space.

With thousands of brilliant minds plunging into the startup space ,it has become very crucial for the entrepreneurs to be heard and noticed,and what better way to be heard and noticed than the Digital space.

Digital Marketing is the thing and the ideas and convictions of Digital Marketers should lit up as never before.

Why would digital marketing be the preferred space of communicating and interacting with your customer?

As per these numbers, We can assume that approx 8.5 Billion USD will be Digital spend of Indian Companies.

There are 240+ Private Radio Stations and nearly 800 private TV chanels are at India but Google is Only one, Facebook is Only one and so the Digital Marketing is only one. 

Marketing concepts have changed and the future concepts will have to intertwine technology and marketing skills to better promote their brands.

Why do actually “Start ups ” need digital marketing?

  • Of the umpteen numbers of problems faced by start ups the major and the most important is the lack of funds which implies the lesser amount of contribution in the marketing spends of the start ups. 
  • This is where Digital Marketing proves to be a blessing for the start ups.Digital Marketing is very economical in comparison to the traditional methods of marketing such as Print, Radio,television.
  • There are a plethora of free tools available which help you manage your online presence on mediums such as Twitter, Facebook ,Blogs.
  • Digital Marketing provides insights where conventional modes of marketing fail. Everything is quantified in Digital Space. Google Analytics, KISS Metrics, Google Website Optimizer are few tools which are widely used to track customer traffic and engagement.
Digital Marketing draw your attention to the places where it is required the most.
  • Building Brand awareness:- One of the prime objective’s of digital marketing is to build brand awareness by leveraging on social media channels ,blogs, forums.
  • Content Marketing is still in Vogue. According to a study conducted by Nielson more that 27,000,000 pieces of content are shared every day. 
  • The sole purpose of advertising through content marketing should not be creating brand awareness but also to educate your target audience. Strategizing your content shall be the most rewarding and interesting areas of digital marketing.
  • Mobile content delivery could never have been this much important.

As per a recent survey conducted even in 2016 currently there are approximately 375million internet users in India and this number is only expected to grow exponentially in days to come.

Hence, business will be required to spend a lot more resources on creating useful and informative mobile content.

The future of marketing lies in mobile formats which will provide seamless ways for the businesses interact with their audience.

This makes conclude that with the start-up environment still in it’s beginning stages and with the untiring efforts of our government to take every possible step to ensure new and young ideas don’t die prematurely there would be no exaggeration that digital space will be the place where all the action will happen and the role of a traditional marketers will shift gradually towards digital.
