Here's an insightful and candid conversation with Hardik Manwani, Founder, HMMBiz Web Solutions.
When did you get started with your venture? How did you acquire the early customers for HMMBiz?
I began my career as a Freelancer while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Application. Since my early college days, I was inclined towards technology and was passionate to do something unique in the web development field.
The Eureka moment struck in 2011, the country’s leading newspaper, The Economic Times had organized a competition ‘Power of Your Ideas’ for the innovative young minds.
I got the platform to present the Ideas which were in store. One of the idea's got selected amongst the top 10. Since then there was no looking back for me.
After presenting at IIM Ahmedabad, I got incubated by Mudra Institute of Communication Ahmedabad (MICA). Thus, learning from the mentors in MICA on how to manage a startup encouraged me to start HMMBiz Web Solutions. Started as a bootstrapped company with getting clients through referrals and word-of-mouth.
How did you meet your co-founder and/or the first employee?
I am a solo founder. Interestingly, my first employee was my college colleague.
What are the exciting numbers about HMMBiz that you would want to share with the community?
Headquartered in Ahmedabad with a team of 21 employees, HMMBiz today has 650+ clients spread across the globe.
With a vision to provide a 360-degree development solution, the company over the last three years has grown by 150 times.
The clientele list of HMMBiz includes Standard Chartered, Raymonds, Lupin, Jabong, Schaeffler and has also partnered with Google for its Gsuite product. Helping the clients to grow their business HMMBiz assists them to boost their sales for increasing their profitability.
Which is the most recent challenge you faced and how did you overcome that?
One of the current problems was to get sales, we defeated it by building strategic tie-ups with different digital agencies across the major cities of India, and in International countries like US, UK and Australia which helped us getting turnkey projects.
What are your growth plans for the next year?
In the next few years, we are trying to bring in new products. Our primary focus is to scale our growth and try to cater to our solutions to all who need a web presence.
What was that key moment of HMMBiz's journey that put HMMBiz in a high growth trajectory?
We made a buzz in the real estate market having introduced a cutting edge solution that allows clients to manage their business very conveniently as well as efficiently through an application. Such a groundbreaking concept has enabled us to set a firm footing in the real estate industry in the United States in a short period.
