How did you come up with the idea of 'EDU' ?

We noticed that Education has lot of scope for improvement. We thought of making communication between students, parents and teachers easier by creating a platform and then introduce features which influences the education system to improve.

What problem are you solving?

We are trying to solve the communication gap between parents, students and teachers. We also want to improve the education system in India. For example, we show only own results to students and parents hence avoiding comparisons and peer pressure.

We are providing platform to share various information about student like attendance, exam schedule, results, event photos, event announcements, etc. in realtime hence all are on same page. Also we are providing feature to parents for sharing suggestions with schools hence facilitating two way communication.

What is your competitive advantage?

Our service is totally free and very easy to use. Also it provides two way communication channel between school and parents.

How much time did it take you from conceptualization of 'your venture' to actually launching it in the market ?

It took us little over 1 year to launch.

Tell us more about your team?

We have a small team containing web developers and mobile app developers. They're passionately working to make the platform better day by day.

What is your technology stack?

LAMP stack on server side, android and ios apps for end users.

How do you plan to market your product? What are your customer acquisition strategies?

We plan to approach different schools and showcase the platform features and benefits. We are starting from targeting Gujarat first and then across various other states to eventually cover whole India. So far we have got good response from wherever we have shown the demo. Being free, it is much easier to adopt the platform.

What is the revenue model of 'EDU' ?

We are offering this service totally free. Currently we are just focused on increasing user base and improve the system with user feedback.

What do you want to achieve from this? What is your larger goal or vision?

We want to improve the overall education system in India and facilitate communication between students, parents and teachers.

What sort of support and feedback are you looking from the community?

We are looking for suggestions to improve our system and support in reaching maximum number of educational institutes.
