KartRocket -> seems a very convenient option providing multiple logistic services like FedEx, Delhivery, Aramax etc from one platform. We have used it. Nice experience ! You can use the logistic service provider at your priority (normal, high, overnight).
They have recently started their prepaid model, which seems to be an economical option for the startups.

FedEx is the best. DTDC is difficult to integrate.

FedEx & Bludart both are convenient in terms of overall services

Logistics is one of the most challenging task in E-commerce industry in India.

If you wish to have a large pincode coverage then the options are Aramax,Bluedart.
Aramax has been doing quite good lately.

The next 3 options up available are Delhivery, Ecomm Express and GoJavas.

FedEx is good in terms of service but again they least focus on small business hence it becomes difficult at time of coordination.

Recently Delhivery has grabbed good business and name but again the experiance has been 50-50% by the business users as well as end customers.

DotZot has been used by manny ( No Personal experiance or rates idea )

The emaerging one is http://www.shiprocket.in/ they are basically aggregators and expanding agreesively.

Again a lot manny things depends upon

1)Pincode Reach
2)COD option and COD Pinocde Reach.
3)Trust on the 3rd party vendor to attempt shipment
4)Ship to Delivery Time
5)Packages lost
6)Cost per Kg and Collection cost for COD orders.
7)Size of Product (Weight and Volume)
8) Type of product.
9) Volume ( For rate negotiation )

Having worked in the same industry my vote as on the current market and service goes to Aramex ( Drawback :- Slightly late tracking )

Most of the things have been coverd in previous replies but ya we are running many ecommerce stores and depending on geogrophy we are using different partners.
for shipping in Gujarat and Mumbai the best rates and service is from Maruti,poonam , Nandan , Professional couriers all are very same and superb (next day delivery by all )

for national reach fedex is offering great reach and are very professional too you can open the account with some basic documentation in weeks time sitting at your office.

we have also contacted bluedart , DTDC but they are bit too old ways, dont give rates via emails ,you have to meet someone personally to get rates , you do need good negotiation skills to get the best rates so our experience for them is not very good for business accounts.

In tearms of reach There is no match for indiapost service little slow but very cost effective and for books they are having special rates COD is very easy via VPP too(we ship almost 50 shipments(books) a day via indiapost VPP.

for international we are using all UPS and DHL only and so far the experience is superb as hardly(just 3 times in 8 years) we get things damaged during shipping and when we are shipping kites its a great achievment.

We had tied up with Delhivery. Everything was going well until yesterday when we faced issues with Shipping Charges through their API integration. Suddenly, they are like 'Sorry, our API is under development as we are adding new pincodes to it. It might take more than few months to get it up and running. So, you need to manually code the charges into your system.' Very bad experience.

Right now we are looking for other logistic options.

Shiprocket has been praised here. But, on Quora, it has bad reviews. So, it's confusing. Can someone please shed some light on it.

Also, has anyone used Shipyaari yet? They seem to have good rates but haven't read much reviews for it.
