Dataloggers, untapped business opportunity
We have reasonably big cold storage for potatoes in Indore. Practically, we need / should keep a record of Temperature, Humidity and CO2 inside various chambers at different time intervals. But currently most of the work is done manual, and is unorganised. There are several devices for measuring these parameters in market, which can give quick reading, but a centralized system to measure, display, and store records is missing. I have searched the market, visited expos, and used all tools like indiamart, but most of the systems available are outdated, use old technology, are bulky and not smart, or very expensive.
I can connect currently available systems to EPBX which are 20 years old.
A good standalone (embedded system) which can store, display, PUSH data to internet / mobile, with date and time stamp has a good market in place. A well established dealer chain to sell this type of system, customers ranging from cold storages to pharma to meat to logistics to dairy, etc.
There is virtually no competition, measuring sensors of all types available off the shelf. The need is of 'well designed standalone embedded' system. Anybody, who is searching for idea, even a non-techy like me, can work on such product. Need is very similar to 'central control panel' used in EPBX, or CCTV' DVR, or Access Control system. I know all type of agencies, supplier, embedded system developers, and testing ground (my cold storage) and other in our region.

We need out of box thinking as the solution of this Idea, I as a mechanical engineer myself will think on this more but to have some more input now.
1. The electronic labels in super mall connected with radio technology for changing of price update real time basis could be one technology and it can sends data to one computer for records from different measuring devices.
2. The GPS system which give real time information of all the vehicle on the move is also connecting various data location, speed, time in one device can be thought.
It may require more discussion as of now.
